The site is located at edge of long private road connecting from local market street in Tokyo. The project is under the condition that a flag lot where is surrounded by small private housings, shops and low residential buildings.

We have considered the condition and studied about how to create rich internal spaces. The building is composed with shops at ground floor and house located at 2nd and 3rd floors where easily get sunlight. The footprint is maximized as to follow the site boundary and split into two volumes to allow natural cross ventilation. By closing toward outdoor and opening toward indoor, we have tried to achieve a good condition of internal space and avoid noise pollution to neighbors.      
The house part which is composed by two volumes shaping long ellipses creates edgeless internal space while creating a characteristic facade. It creates a comfortable environment for the client and neighbors, even the site is in the high-density area.
